Hiking Hints & Equipment List
Preparation of the day before:
- Clothing: No cotton, polyester (quick dry material) preferred.
- Pants: Loose and old pants preferred.
- Windbreaker, hat or cap, sunglasses, suntan lotion.
- Spare clothing to change for rainy day or after hike.
- Socks: 2 pairs: linen for sweat absorption and thick cotton socks provide cushion effect to comfort your feet.
- Shoes: sneakers is fine for easy hike, but hiking boots preferred.
- Lunch: Bread or rice or dumplings, fruit and snacks.
- Drinks: Suggested 1.5 to 2.0 liters of water or energetic drinks.
- Backpack: No handbag or plastic bag. No LV or CoachÂ…
- For winter hike: hiking pole, fleece, gloves, waterproof shoes.
- Personal medicine or depending drugs.
- Camera, mobile phone and money.
In that morning
- Eat breakfast.
- Don't be late.
- Don't go to the wrong meeting place.
Before the hike
- Warm up stretching.
- Know who your leader is, don't follow the wrong person.
During the hike
- Don't go off trail, don't pick the wild flowers.
- Take group picture to save the good memories.
- Bring home with everything includes memories and garbage; leave nothing on the trail except footprints.
- Go restroom at hidden spots 20 steps off the trail and stream.
After the hike
- Ask for Passport and stamp from your leader.
- Ask for contact information from new friends.
- Take shower immediately and wash all clothing with soap or detergent to clean ticks.
